Overview

Our client, a leading organisation in the aviation and engineering sector, is offering an
11-month Business Placement
at their engineering centre in South Wales. This opportunity provides hands-on experience within a world-class maintenance and overhaul facility, supporting the operational excellence of one of the UK's most recognised aviation brands.

This placement is designed for students who are looking to develop strong business and analytical skills in a fast-paced technical environment. Participants will gain insight into large-scale engineering operations, contribute to real-world projects, and work alongside professionals dedicated to maintaining safety, efficiency, and innovation within the aviation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support a range of business and operational projects within the engineering and maintenance division.
  • Contribute to the coordination of planning, logistics, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across engineering, operations, and business functions to identify opportunities for efficiency and innovation.
  • Assist in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support strategic decision-making.
  • Gain exposure to component overhaul, maintenance planning, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Work alongside professionals at all levels, from graduates to senior leaders, developing strong commercial awareness and professional skills.

Requirements

  • Predicted
    2:2 degree (or equivalent)
    in any discipline.
  • Must be returning to university following completion of the 11-month placement.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to challenge existing processes and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Due to limited transport links,
    a full driving licence and access to transport are highly recommended
    .
  • Must have the
    right to work in the UK
    for the duration of the placement (visa sponsorship not available).
