Human Resources Manager (Maternity Cover – Part-Time)
This is a part-time maternity cover role for 12 months. You will primarily work from home under our Hybrid Remote First model, with the requirement to attend your local office (London or Sheffield) twice a month.
Guildhawk is an energetic and vibrant tech-powered language company seeking an equally dynamic individual eager to build a career in the technology and language services sector. The HR Manager will work closely with the Head of Business Operations to oversee all aspects of human resources, including employee relations, training and development, benefits administration, compliance, recruitment and strategic HR initiatives. This role also offers opportunities to contribute to vendor management and operational support. The ideal candidate will have a strong HR management background, a passion for employee development, and a commitment to fostering a positive workplace culture.
Key functions of the position:

Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances promptly and confidentially. Provide clear guidance on HR policies and procedures to ensure consistency and fairness.

Design and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and career growth. Identify and address skills gaps within the organisation to support long-term talent development.
·
Facilitate performance appraisal processes and support leadership in succession planning, talent development, and employee exits.
·
Administer employee benefits, ensure compliance with regulations, and assist employees with benefit-related inquiries. Stay current with employment laws and regulations to maintain company compliance.

Maintain accurate HR data and produce regular reports on key metrics. Analyse trends to improve employee retention and engagement.

Build and maintain a strong employer brand through employee engagement initiatives, team-building activities, and social programs.

Provide additional support in vendor management and assist with operational tasks as needed to ensure smooth business operations.
·
Implement HR policies and procedures across the organisation, conduct regular audits to monitor compliance, and recommend improvements.

Develop and implement effective recruitment and retention strategies for a remote, internationally distributed workforce. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, including interviews and collaboration with department heads.
Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline (a Master's degree or recognised HR certification would be advantageous).
·
Demonstrable experience in HR management, with at least three years in a leadership or managerial capacity.
·
Comprehensive understanding of employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and HR best practices.
