The role is very hands-on and extremely varied, so your kitchen skills will be of paramount importance. The Hyde Dendy apart of East Street Pub Company is a family run business, so you'll enjoy being part of a close-knit team who share a vested interest within the business and a very particular vision for the Pub.

You'll ensure all dishes are prepared and served according to specification. You'll use your own initiative and demonstrate previous success of maintaining excellent kitchen performance. You'll have responsibilities for health and safety, and food hygiene.

The Hyde Dendy is the ideal setting for lunchtimes dates, family dinners, celebrations, quick bites and children with our amazing climbing frame, swings and more.

We have close working relationships with suppliers who are typically local and all longstanding, supplying a variety of seasonal produce for the menu.

About us:

The Hyde Dendy is set on the front of the beautiful Paignton Seafront and has been open since February 2018. Rated as one of the most popular pubs in Paignton on TripAdvisor, The Hyde Dendy has established itself to become the go-to food and drink den on the neighbourhood scene. East Street Pub Company founded in 2014 by the Narvidge family, is still independently owned and run today.

The Skills:

  • Previous chef work or cooking experience would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a similar operation would also be beneficial.
  • Organisational skills are essential.
  • You'll have great communication skills.
  • The role would suit a people person and you'll enjoy working as part of a close-knit team.
  • Excellent attention to detail is desired alongside good presentation skills.
  • We're after a punctual, reliable and trustworthy person
