Head of Brand Marketing - UK

Location: Newcastle Upon Tyne but could be London based (hybrid)

Salary: Competitive

Contract: 13 month Fixed-Term Contract

About the role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our regional team for a Head of UK Brand Marketing FTC to cover a maternity leave and help to continue to drive momentum on this wonderful No 1 brand in the Baby market - Tommee Tippee.

As a key member of our marketing leadership team, the Head of UK Brand Marketing will report directly to the UK & EU Head of Regional Marketing and play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our overall marketing strategy for the UK market.

The successful candidate will be a results-driven and innovative marketing professional with a proven track record of successfully leading and implementing marketing initiatives across various channels. You will embrace the challenge and execute market leading, iconic campaigns that deliver our commercial ambitions. You will have a digital-first mindset, considerable experience in developing and executing a digital marketing strategy, clearly understanding the power of influence and recommendation in our category.

You will be an inspiring leader, able to elevate and mobilise your direct team and the wider marketing, shopper & category teams to help deliver our regional vision of becoming the UK's first choice, supporting every parent from first kick to first steps.

The role involves working closely with the Global Marketing team as well as stakeholders in sales, category, shopper marketing across the UK team. And as the overall Brand lead in region, you will ensure you influence and pull together all aspects of the business to optimise the plans, ensuring that they are executed with excellence.

What you will be doing:

  • Develops regional marketing strategy & regional campaign / execution plans from the Global Brand & Consumer strategy & Playbooks
  • Using your deep knowledge of regional nuances, (retailers, consumers & competitors) you can alter and/or strengthen the marketing plan accordingly
  • Defines and agrees focus priorities (and therefore spend) between Categories with key stakeholders
  • Aggregates the full marketing calendar, ensuring maximum synchronicity with the shopper marketing & promotional plans
  • Manages marketing agencies (PR, Social & Digital) to their KPIs via regular cadence of All agency meetings to efficiently execute the plan.
  • Ensures best in class execution of UK brand campaigns & initiatives across all digital media elements including paid media, influencers, organic social, VOD and PR & experiential, sampling, partnerships & awards.
  • Supervises performance of UK Marketing Manager and indirect marketing team (subject matter experts)
  • Collaborates with senior regional (Category, Channel Development, Sales) and global peers to enhance way of working
  • Leads regional brand health tracking, analysis and subsequent course correction
  • Determines appropriate ROI metrics for key activation program elements
  • Full end-to-end A&P responsibility

What skills and experiences you'll need to ace this job:

  • Proven experience in brand marketing developing & executing marketing plans
  • A self-starter by nature with a strong 'can do' & bias for action attitude – proactivity is key
  • Strategic and analytical thinking that can interpret numbers and data into actionable insights and learning
  • Results driven, unlocks limitless opportunities
  • Consumer focused, understands regional nuances whilst driving global strateg
  • Comfortable working under pressure, with the ability to be reactive and flexible in a fast-paced environment
  • Creative with an eye for detail - Knows great content when you see it (and won't settle for anything less).
  • Passionate to build a brand, with experience of doing so in the UK FMCG market
  • Experience leading & developing digital marketing plans
  • Excellent communication & influencing skills required
  • Strong presentation skills
