Commercial Assistant

Reports to: Commercial Analyst

Location: Space NK, Capper Street, London

Working Location: Hybrid working with a minimum of 2-3 days in the office

Role Overview

As a newly created role within Space NK, the objective of the Commercial Assistant will be to provide essential support to the commercial team, helping drive accurate reporting, coordinate cross-functional activity, and contribute to the success of the trading & promotional initiatives of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Trading & Promotional Activity

  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly commercial reports including sales, margin and customer performance.
  • Support the Commercial Analyst in preparing promotional performance summaries
  • Coordinate timelines and deliverables across departments for promotional and trading initiatives.
  • Support Commercial Analyst in compiling market insights from external partners such as Circana & Similarweb.

Marketing Income & Rate Card

  • Maintain marketing income tracker & align cross functionally to ensure timely execution of activity
  • Set up and own critical path and rate card tracking documents for all new stores
  • Work cross functionally with Categories, Inventory & Marketing to ensure seamless execution rate card activities

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Support the Commercial Analyst on any projects or new initiatives they are leading
  • Coordinate & communicate clearly with junior and senior stakeholders, ensuring visibility of progress and blockers of any planned activity.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong organisational skills & attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with curiosity in understanding retail trading & trends
  • Experience in retail or consumer goods is desirable but not essential
  • Proficiency in Excel. Familiarity with data tools (Power BI, Qliksense) is a plus.
