In the role of Assistant Commercial Manager for the B2B Gift Cards business at M&S, you will help drive commercial expansion and improve operational success throughout our business-to-business offerings. You will manage and nurture relationships with key suppliers and clients, ensuring excellence throughout the process. As part of a motivated team with ambitious plans, you will contribute to advancing our B2B customer journey and assist in meeting our financial objectives.

To stay close to customers, our support teams are in the office at least three days a week as we believe that skills are developed through collaboration, and that spending time together makes us more creative and connected.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own and manage day-to-day relationships with key clients and suppliers, ensuring positive relationships and outstanding service delivery.
  • Drive B2B sales growth by identifying new market trends and opportunities, maintaining regular contact with existing clients, and proactively engaging potential new partners.
  • Handle customer issues from our outsourced partner to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience for our corporate clients.
  • Deliver accurate financial reconciliation and reporting of sales and redemption data, providing insight and updates to senior collaborators.
  • Analyse sales and redemption performance to detect patterns, guide strategic decisions, and assist commercial planning.
  • Support key commercial initiatives and projects, including negotiations and contract formalisation, ensuring balanced and profitable partnerships.

Who you are:

  • Commercially astute, with a proven track record of managing and growing a multi-million-pound sales channel.
  • Highly skilled in building positive relationships and influencing key collaborators at all levels.
  • Entrepreneurial approach with the ability to identify, develop, and act on new sales opportunities.
  • Experience working within the Gift Card industry, with solid understanding of its commercial dynamics.
  • Outstanding attention to detail combined with strong operational capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively across teams and partners.
  • Established track record of handling and finalizing projects at a high level of quality.
  • Desirable - Previous experience within the B2B Gift Card sector.
