Overview
We are seeking skilled Mechanical Technicians to join our dynamic team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and assembling mechanical systems within our facility. These roles offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background who are eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment. The position involves working with various tools and equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety standards are upheld.
Detect and analyse reported product issue on systems and products returned to service department. Address issue/s through to resolution ensuring all works are carried out to a high standard and to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- To carry out tasks instructed by your supervisor in accordance with company requirements. Those duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Read & understand schematics and diagrams to determine the method and sequence of assembly of a part, component, or a system to ensure that products and parts meet quality standards.
- Ensure repairs are to that specified in repair instructions using parts specified.
- Ensure that assembly is followed to that specified in assembly instructions using parts specified.
- Notify supervisors of defect detection and help to analyse and correct production problems.
- Install electronic parts and hardware, using soldering equipment and hand tools.
- Test the performance of repairs or assemblies, using test instruments as specified in assembly instructions and/or on test sheets.
- Update 'case' with diagnostic and required action of works to return products to standard , liaise with customer for authorisation if repair is outside warranty.
- Monitor repairs and highlight to supervisor if there are any trends or re-occurring issues. SERVICE DEPARTMENT
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Produce entire products or sub assembly components dependant on WORK INSTRUCTIONS(WI) PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
- Use of hand tools or machine to assemble parts. Clean & maintain work area, tools and other equipment
- Cut, position, align, fit, fasten and install parts.
- Conduct quality control checks on products before returning to customer SERVICE DEPARTMENT.
- Small scale production of electronic devices- wiring, precision, assembling PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT
- When needed operate electronic inspection equipment and software.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times during operations.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimise mechanical performance across the organisation.
- Have a positive attitude and provide a high level of customer service to all customers, staff and external providers.
- The above tasks and responsibilities are not an exhaustive list and you maybe required to undertake other reasonable duties to utilise your skills, experience and competencies. This description may be varied from time to time to reflect changing business requirements.
- MONDAY - FRIDAY 8am-5PM
- Overtime as needed Sat 8am-12pm
- Live within a 25mile radius of Kenley London Borough of Croydon
Experience an
- Proven experience working with mechanical systems in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical principles and components.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for assembly and repair tasks.
- Experience in equipment assembly, installation, and troubleshooting is highly desirable.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
- Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are preferred but not mandatory. This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to develop their skills within a supportive team environment while contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities.

Pay: £25,396.80-£28,000.00 per year
