About the Role

You will support a gentleman living with a spinal cord injury in his own home, where he lives with his wife and young children. Your role will involve:

  • Building a professional and supportive relationship
  • Assisting with daily living activities at home and in the community
  • Supporting social, leisure, and family activities
  • Encouraging independence and confidence
  • Accompanying him to physiotherapy and hydrotherapy sessions

This role is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Approachable, reliable, and dependable
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Outgoing with a good sense of humour
  • Respectful of privacy and personal boundaries
  • A confident communicator in English

Experience with complex care, including bowel and bladder care, is desirable but not essential—full training will be provided.

Other Important Information:

  • This is a strictly non-smoking environment
  • There are cats in the household
  • A driving licence is preferred
  • DBS Update Service registration would be advantageous
