Manchester, New Hampshire, United Kingdom Centrick Full time

Building Safety

Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

We're Centrick, residential property experts with a clear mission: to make lives better, every day.

Since 2005, we've grown into a nationwide business with a global reach, managing buildings and estates of all shapes and sizes. From property management, sales, tenancy, to on-the-ground services like cleaning, caretaking, and maintenance. We deliver quality, end-to-end solutions.

With our headquarters in central Birmingham and teams across the UK, we're powered by dedicated professionals working collaboratively across operations, marketing, finance, and beyond. We reinvest in our people, technology, and culture to drive continuous improvement and long-term impact — for our clients, customers, and communities.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Lead – Building Safety to support the delivery of cladding remediation and building safety projects under the Developer Pledge and Cladding Safety Scheme (CSS) frameworks. This role is central to coordinating funding applications, managing key project documentation, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure schemes progress efficiently from application through to delivery.

The successful candidate will be highly organised, confident working with complex information, have experience with financial reporting and be able to communicate effectively with leaseholders, developers, contractors, consultants, and funding bodies.

What you will be doing?

No two days are the same but the below gives you a flavour for some of the tasks you'd typically be involved with. Even if you can't tick everything off from the list below but think you've got what it takes, we'd be keen for you to apply:

  • Act as the principal point of contact and accountable lead for clients, developers, contractors, and regulators, maintaining full governance and oversight of project progress.
  • Oversee project budgets, cost forecasts, and funding drawdowns under the Cladding Safety Scheme, Building Safety Fund, or Developer Pledge agreements, ensuring transparency and value for money.
  • Coordinate the procurement, appointment, and management of professional teams, principal designers, and contractors under JCT and PCSA frameworks.
  • Chair regular project and progress meetings, driving accountability for program delivery, risk mitigation, and quality assurance.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and resident communication, ensuring transparency, timely updates, and effective coordination with the Building Safety and Property Management teams.
  • Ensure all as-built documentation, testing certificates, O&M manuals, and Safety Case materials are completed and handed over to support long-term compliance and the Golden Thread of Information.
  • Liaise with Homes England, developers, and freeholders to facilitate information exchange and compliance reporting.
  • Act as a central point of contact for stakeholders including leaseholders, developers, consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Assist in the mobilisation and coordination of remediation schemes once approved.
  • Liaise with internal finance and accounts teams to verify contractor and consultant invoices before final approval.

What you need to succeed

  • Previous experience dealing with Principal Contractors and/or multidisciplinary property construction teams (Architects, Fire Engineers, Project Managers) (Essential)
  • Previous Property Experience, specifically in the Leasehold sector (Desirable)
  • Experience with HRB's and the Building Safety Governance (Desirable)
  • Experience with Cladding Safety Scheme or working with developers (Desirable)
  • Training in the Building Remediation Process will be provided but any exposure previously will be beneficial
