Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling front desk , telephone and general admin activities, ensuring efficient patient flow, and providing excellent customer service to our patients and support to an established medical and administration team. 26 Hours a week over 3 days. (Wednesday-Friday fixed days with two 18:30 finish and one 08:00am start)
Responsibilities
Answering the telephone and call navigation to appropriate clinicians and team members.
Monitoring Econsult Downloads via the smart inbox software and monitoring of the general enquiries mailbox, working alongside the Triage GP. Data inputting.
Repeat Prescription requests and online prescriptions.
Monitoring and actioning Test Results from the shared services portal
Scanning of records
photocopying and registrations.
greeting and dealing with patients on the front desk
Dealing with patient queries, including GP and other health professional queries.
Booking of appointments.
General duties located in different areas of the practice and providing admin support with the winter vaccination programmes.
Working within own professional boundaries.
Being part of a very close team who support each other.
Must be flexible at short notice to cover sickness and holiday leave.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or office role is desirable as full training will be given.
- Proficient in using office software such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and team player.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology is advantageous but not mandatory as full training will be given.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
