Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior care and a passion for enhancing the lives of elderly individuals. This role involves supervising junior staff, developing care plans, and ensuring that all residents receive the support they need in a safe and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each resident's needs.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and families.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents to promote their emotional well-being.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in senior care and leadership.
  • Utilise IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential.
  • Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs when required.
  • Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes.
