Tax Disputes & Resolutions Manager

An established professional services firm is seeking an experienced Tax Disputes & Resolutions Manager to join its growing London-based team. My client is a Times Top 100 Employer with a supportive, family-feel culture, and is looking for someone who can manage a diverse portfolio of complex tax dispute cases, working closely with senior leadership to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients across all areas of taxation.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Tax Disputes & Resolutions Manager or Assistant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and enjoys navigating HMRC investigations and settlements.

Key Requirements

  • ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent), or able to demonstrate strong, relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in HMRC enquiries, investigations, or voluntary disclosures.
  • Skilled in report writing and preparation of tax computations.
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to high standards of client service.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of tax dispute and resolution cases from engagement through to completion.
  • Prepare HMRC disclosures, reports, computations, and supporting technical analyses.
  • Liaise directly with clients, HMRC, and other third parties throughout the enquiry process.
  • Support partners and directors with case strategy and delivery of technical advice.
  • Monitor progress, billing, and client communication to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, knowledge sharing, and marketing activities where appropriate.
