Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care, ensuring patient comfort, and promoting oral health education. This role requires a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with dentists and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Perform thorough dental cleanings and examinations, including scaling and polishing teeth.
  • Assess patients' oral health and document findings accurately in patient records.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Assist in the development of individualised treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Utilise medical imaging techniques to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile environment in accordance with health regulations.
  • Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies, including CAD (Computer-Aided Design) applications.

Qualifications

  • Valid Dental Hygiene licence or equivalent qualification recognised by the relevant regulatory body.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health.
  • Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage patient records efficiently.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry standards.
