Job Overview

The Limes Dental Practice on Stroud Road is offering a part time hygienist position starting mid-February2026. This is to take over a list from a long standing retiring hygienist with well maintained patients. Fully private patient list in a preventative focused practice working on 30, 45 or 60 minute appointments. The position is for 2 days. Tuesday and Thursday (however some flexibility may be possible) . Full nursing support is available and a competitive remuneration on a self employed basis; based on experience. Cavitron, SOE, digital X-Rays.

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our private dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining patients' oral health through professional cleaning, patient education, and assisting the dental team. Responsibilities

  • Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of patients' teeth
  • Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care measures
  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures as needed
  • Take and develop dental radiographs using medical imaging equipment where necessary
  • Maintain sterilisation protocols and ensure the cleanliness of all dental instruments and work areas
  • Manage patient appointments efficiently, ensuring smooth clinic operations
  • Keep up-to-date with current dental hygiene techniques and industry standards

Skills

  • Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or similar role within a clinical setting
  • Knowledge of dental CAD systems and medical imaging technology
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and reassure patients
  • Organised with the ability to manage multiple appointments efficiently
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Attention to detail and high standards of infection control compliance
