The Student Fees and Funding team is a friendly and supportive team with around 34 staff who manage central fee processes and a wide range of financial support and funding opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate applicants and students. This includes scholarships, bursaries and loan programmes, international schemes and central financial assistance, working closely with a range of stakeholders across the collegiate University to support students to pursue their studies.

About the Role

This role is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of the development and delivery of access to education at Oxford, part of the group responsible for administering a wide range of financial support, including undergraduate bursaries, financial assistance funding and other on-course awards.

Your specific role will oversee the operational management of the undergraduate Crankstart Scholarship programme and the Oxford Bursary Scheme, amounting to over £10m in bursary support for around 2,500 students. You will also lead on delivery of Oxford's Financial Assistance, and related targeted support, including the Care Experienced and Estranged Student Bursary and the Student Support Bursary. Your role will line manage three members of staff and you will also provide support to the Deputy Head of Student Fees and Funding.

About You

You will need to be organised, proactive, meticulous, and able to manage and prioritise multiple competing demands, with experience of coaching or managing staff. The successful candidate will also be experienced in designing and improving administrative processes to support strategic aims, including production of narrative reporting and analysis.

An analytical and problem-solving approach is key, with a drive for continuous improvement, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to work with people from different backgrounds and at all levels within and outside the collegiate university.
