The Role

Due to retirement, the Corsham School Academy Group seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, and inspirational teacher of Physics and Science to teach Science across the key stages and Physics to key stage 5. Our science team has a wealth of experienced and passionate practitioners and is led by separate heads of each of the sciences (who are each specialists in their field) and additionally benefits from the expertise of a Lead Practitioner. Science is a popular subject at our school, with high take-up of triple Science at GCSE (as an option subject), which is taught over 15 hours a fortnight. The number of students who opt to continue with Science at A level has increased in recent years and students do well in Sciences at GCSE and A level.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic practitioner who models excellent practice, has students' progress at the forefront of their teaching, will deliver high quality learning experiences for all students and have a willingness to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the school. The Corsham School is part of a small Multi Academy Trust serving the market town of Corsham and surrounding villages. It is situated in North Wiltshire, on the outskirts of the Cotswolds, 8 miles from Bath and within easy reach of the M4.
