We're seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Freelance Tutor to deliver engaging, high-quality training for the Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. Join our supportive and forward-thinking training organisation to help shape the next generation of early years professionals — inspiring them to provide outstanding care, learning, and development opportunities for young children.

Role Overview

You'll plan and deliver interactive, learner-focused sessions covering key themes such as child development, safeguarding and welfare, early learning frameworks, assessment and observation, partnership working, and inclusive practice.

You'll support small groups of apprentices (up to 10 per cohort), guiding them through their on-the-job and off-the-job training, ensuring they make consistent progress toward achieving the Level 3 Early Years Educator Standard.

As a freelance tutor, you'll be responsible for all preparation before delivery — including Schemes of Work, Lesson Plans, and learner resources. Please note, no additional payment is provided for preparation time.

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in early years education or childcare settings
  • Strong understanding of the Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard
  • Recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., PTLLS, AET, TAQA, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Experience in delivering apprenticeships, vocational qualifications, or adult training
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Relevant qualification in Early Years Education, Childcare, or Teaching (Level 6 or above)
