Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Retail Sales Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at the Afro-Asian Grociers in Ispwitch location within the retail environment, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales performance. You will lead a team of sales associates, fostering a positive work atmosphere while achieving store objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and support the retail team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to enhance their skills and performance in retail management.
  • Manage daily store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining store standards.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to promote collaboration and achieve sales targets.
  • Implement promotional strategies to increase sales and attract new customers.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide feedback to the team to drive improvements.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling shifts, managing payroll records, and maintaining employee files.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures while promoting a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree is essential (Masters preferred) with good communication Skills.
  • Proven experience in retail management or supervisory roles is essential.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to engage with customers and team members alike.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in team management and motivation.
  • Highly organised with strong administrative skills for efficient store operations.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities are advantageous for enhancing customer interactions, especially to read through Ingridients and sales assistants.
  • A passion for selling with a track record of achieving sales targets is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to £31,000.00 per year

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
