CRM & Email Marketing Lead

Exeter, Devon, United Kingdom Blue Earth Full time

Location: Exeter, Devon

This role is based at our Exeter office, with the option to work from home one day per week. In-person collaboration is important to how we work, particularly around key campaigns, events and moments across the Blue Earth calendar.

About Blue Earth

Blue Earth is a global platform built to accelerate a better future for people and planet.

Across the Blue Earth Summit, Forums, Sessions, BE100, London Climate Action Week activations, New York Climate Week, and our year-round Ventures and content programmes, we bring together founders, investors, policymakers, creatives and leaders shaping the future economy.

We believe that solutions to the world's biggest challenges already exist, they simply need to radically outcompete. Our role is to find them, fund them, and help them scale through connection, storytelling and investment.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a CRM & Email Marketing Lead to take full ownership of our CRM ecosystem (HubSpot) and play a central role in how Blue Earth grows, understands and engages its audience.

This is not a "send the newsletter" role.

You will own data strategy, segmentation, lifecycle journeys and email performance across a complex, multi-product platform, shaping how we build long-term relationships with founders, investors, partners and attendees across the entire Blue Earth calendar.

Working with the Head of Marketing, you'll be the internal expert on audience intelligence, working closely with marketing, partnerships, production and ventures to ensure every communication is relevant, timely and valuable.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is naturally curious, about people, systems, data and what the future could look like if we build it differently.

You'll thrive at Blue Earth if you're excited by working in a small, highly agile and fast-paced team, where ownership matters, ideas move quickly, and impact is tangible. This is not a role for someone who needs heavy process or narrow remits, it's for someone who enjoys building, testing, learning and improving in real time.

You have a deep interest in what a better future looks like, for people, for the planet and for the systems that shape our economy. You don't just believe change is necessary, you're motivated by being part of the solution.

We're building a company that genuinely aims to transform the way the world works, bringing together innovation, investment and leadership to help the best solutions radically outcompete. That requires people who are optimistic, thoughtful and action-oriented.

In practice, this means you are likely to:

  • Ask why as often as how.
  • Care deeply about the quality and integrity of your work.
  • Feel comfortable taking ownership and responsibility.
  • Enjoy collaborating across disciplines and products.
  • Be energised by complexity rather than overwhelmed by it.
  • Want your skills to contribute to something that truly matters.

If you're looking for a role where data, creativity and purpose intersect, and where your work directly shapes how a global platform grows and connects its audience, you'll feel at home here.

What You'll Do

CRM Ownership & Data Leadership

  • Own and manage data HubSpot across Marketing, Sales and Operations Hubs.
  • Act as the internal lead for CRM structure, governance and best practice.
  • Maintain exceptional data quality, including cleansing, enrichment, deduplication and GDPR compliance.
  • Design and maintain CRM architecture across multiple products, events and funnels.
  • Manage integrations (website, ticketing, events, partners, forms, content, payments where relevant).

Audience Segmentation & Lifecycle Strategy

  • Build and continuously refine audience segments across founders, investors, corporates, charities, partners and community members.
  • Develop lifecycle journeys across: Discovery → Engagement → Conversion → Retention and Multi-event journeys (e.g. Forum → Summit → Year-round engagement).
  • Use behavioural, demographic and interest-based data to drive smarter targeting.
  • Shape how Blue Earth understands its audience and grows it over time.

Email Marketing & Automation

  • Lead email marketing strategy and execution across:

  • Blue Earth Summit

  • Forums & Sessions
  • London Climate Action Week & New York Climate Week
  • Ventures, BE100 and brand communications

  • Build and optimise automated workflows, nurture journeys and trigger-based campaigns.

  • Own email deliverability, performance, testing and optimisation.
  • Work closely with marketing to ensure emails are compelling, on-brand and high-performing.

Reporting, Insight & Performance

  • Build dashboards and reports to track audience growth, engagement and conversion.
  • Translate CRM and email performance into clear insights for the wider team.
  • Support marketing decision-making with data, not gut feel.
  • Continuously improve how we measure success across campaigns and products

Collaboration & Enablement

  • Work closely with marketing, partnerships, ventures and events teams to support their objectives.
  • Enable colleagues to use CRM data confidently and correctly.
  • Act as a partner to the Head of Marketing on audience growth and platform strategy.
  • Support campaign planning for major moments across the Blue Earth calendar.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • 4+ years experience in CRM, email marketing or marketing operation.
  • Hands-on experience owning HubSpot.
  • Proven experience managing large, complex datasets.
  • Experience working across multiple products, events or audiences (media, events, SaaS or platforms a plus).

Skills & Attributes

  • Highly data-literate with strong analytical instincts.
  • Comfortable owning systems end-to-end, structure, logic and execution.
  • Confident building segmentation, workflows and lifecycle journeys from scratch.
  • Strong communicator who can translate data into action.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Excited by innovation, climate, nature, investment and impact-driven communities.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in events, membership platforms or communities.
  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs or data enrichment tools.
  • Interest in climate innovation or the future economy.

Why Join Blue Earth

  • Work at the intersection of innovation, investment and impact.
  • Help shape a fast-growing global platform with real influence.
  • High autonomy and ownership from day one.
  • Exposure to founders, investors, policymakers and world-class partners.
  • A role where data directly shapes strategy, not just reporting.
