Position Overview

Diligent is seeking a Director of Sales to lead and execute our go-to-market strategy within the Risk & Audit domain. This role requires a commercially astute leader with deep technical understanding of the Risk & Audit landscape — someone who can engage credibly with senior stakeholders and guide their teams to position Diligent's solutions with authority.

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Director will oversee a regional sales team while also carrying an individual target. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with hands-on sales execution, leveraging their domain expertise to drive growth across both new business and expansion opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the regional sales team and define territory and client strategies for new and expansion business.
  • Drive sustainable revenue growth by positioning Diligent's Risk & Audit solutions to address complex client challenges.
  • Partner with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to refine messaging and align go-to-market activities with market needs.
  • Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and performance metrics to ensure predictable delivery.
  • Coach, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales team with a culture of accountability and learning.
  • Attract, hire, and onboard top talent within the Risk & Audit domain.
  • Act as a domain thought leader — maintaining a pulse on regulatory, compliance, and risk trends that influence customer buying behavior.
Required Experience & Skills
  • 10+ years' experience in SaaS or enterprise software sales, with significant exposure to Risk, Audit, or Compliance technology solutions.
  • Proven success in leading and scaling sales teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Deep domain knowledge — either as a seller of Risk & Audit solutions or as a professional with direct experience in this field (e.g., Risk, Audit, or Compliance practitioner).
  • Strong executive presence and ability to influence cross-functionally at senior levels.
  • Skilled in pipeline management, forecasting accuracy, and strategic sales planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Passion for driving results and developing high-performing teams.
