Wixams Academy a recruiting an executive PA to work alongside the Headteacher

Wixams Academy is a comprehensive Academy serving circa (in September pupils including 120 pupils in the Sixth Form. We opened in 2017 with only 80 students and continue to grow annually (with new students and staff) to 1750 students and 200 staff by 2030. we are currently working with Bedford Borough Council and the Department for Education to expand the capacity of the school to facilitate this growth. The Academy has been popular and oversubscribed since opening and we have low staff turnover. The Academy is located one mile south of Bedford town centre and has a mixed community, with broadly national composition. We have recently merged Knowledge Schools Trust (KST) to create a local hub to drive further growth in the region.

As a PA you will provide high-level executive support to the Headteacher, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Headteacher's office and supporting the wider leadership team. This will include:


• Acting as a key point of contact between the Headteacher and internal/external stakeholders.


• Managing the Headteacher's calendar, correspondence, and administrative tasks with discretion and efficiency.


• Preparing and coordinating documentation, briefings, and reports to support leadership and governance.


• Supporting the Headteacher with organisation and follow-up of key meetings, including minute taking where required.


• Providing administrative support to the wider Senior Leadership Team, including coordination of academy events and communications.


• Line managing designated administrative staff, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.


• Contributing to the effective running of the school by promoting efficient administrative systems aligned with the academy's values and aims.
