Under the inspiring leadership of our Executive Head Housekeeper, you will assist in providing leadership, ensuring the smooth day-to-day supervision of our busy hotel Housekeeping team. We want to help you to develop your skills and offer an extensive range of
learning and development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have worked in a busy professional cleaning or hospitality environment and be able to lead, motivate and support team members to achieve success. You can expect to work 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), five shifts out of seven including weekends.

The salary for this full-time position is £25,480 per annum, paid weekly.

About The Role
To assist with the supervision of the Housekeeping function for the greatest enjoyment of the guests and maximum resource efficiency for the hotel.

• To take responsibility for the effective supervision of Housekeeping staff, to ensure efficient operation of the housekeeping function and delivery of Hastings product and service standards.
• To promote and contribute to a harmonious working environment where all employees are treated with respect and dignity.
• To ensure quality standards and procedures are fully understood and implemented, and daily checking procedures are fully applied.
• To ensure company policies relating to stock control and stock ordering are implemented and monitored.
• To ensure all housekeeping staff receive the appropriate training and coaching to provide effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
• To ensure the team work to trained standards, providing feedback to deliver effective and efficient service in line with Hastings standards.
• To maintain effective communication and relationships with other hotel departments and suppliers to maintain an effective operation and ensure guest satisfaction.
• To ensure all bedroom, public and ancillary areas are properly maintained and presented to Hastings standards.
• To ensure you and the team are knowledgeable about the facilities and services within the hotel and are proactive in the sale of these to guests.
• To ensure you and the team assist guests with any reasonable request for hotel services.
• To ensure you and the team respond to complaints and find the appropriate solution.
• To ensure the security of guest bedrooms and storage areas is maintained at all times.
• To ensure all material and equipment are used in accordance with guidelines and are properly maintained.
• To ensure a safe environment is maintained in compliance with health, safety, fire, hygiene and security legislation and company policies and procedures.
• Any other duties as required by management.

Required Criteria

• A professional appearance
• Previous experience in professional cleaning or hospitality; preferably in Housekeeping

Desired Criteria

• Educated to GCSE level or the equivalent including english and mathematics
• Previous supervisory experience
