Power Systems Application Engineer – EMS / SCADA

We're seeking a Power Systems Application Engineer to support the development and delivery of advanced Power Systems Application software for critical energy networks across Europe and UK. This is working for a leading engineering consultancy for large scale projects all across Europe.

What you'll do:

  • Design, code, test and integrate
    EMS/SCADA
    applications for transmission and control systems.
  • Work closely with utilities and system operators to define and refine functional specifications.
  • Ensure smooth delivery through robust
    testing, tuning and performance optimisation
    .
  • Support system improvements and contribute to continuous reliability and compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in solution design, architecture reviews and ongoing enhancement of application frameworks.

What you'll bring:

  • Proven experience in
    electric transmission EMS / SCADA implementation
    within utility or CNI environments.
  • Hands-on experience with
    GE Reliance (XA21)
    or equivalent systems such as
    Siemens, OSI, ABB or Schneider
    .
  • Strong understanding of
    SCADA, DMS and TMS applications
    , including data flow and control logic.
  • Experience in
    data modelling
    and integration within power system networks.
  • Solid understanding of
    software development practices
    , version control, and system integration principles.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multi-disciplinary teams.
