Full Time Veterinary Receptionist position at Bury St Edmunds Veterinary Centre

If you enjoy building a good rapport with clients, then this role within our front of house team could be for you

Duties include a variety of client care and administrative tasks but day to day work includes call handling, dealing with client queries, meet and greet, cashing up, cleaning, insurance processing and processing payments, amongst others.

So, if this has you interested then you don't need to have worked in the veterinary sector before. We can teach you all the vetty stuff (it's what we are excellent at - please check our reviews). However, a strong background in customer service with impeccable attention to detail is a must You will have strong verbal and written communication skills, be IT literate and have decent numeracy skills. You should be able to work under pressure and deal with difficult and emotional situations with both care and compassion, both in person and over the phone.

The vacancy is for 38 hours a week. Saturdays 8am-4pm will also be required on a 1 in 10 rota basis. The ideal candidate would also be flexible with shift patterns. In exchange for your skills and hard work, we offer a starting pay of £12.25ph, 6 weeks pro-rata holidays (incl bank holidays) and, hopefully, a job you can genuinely look forward to coming in to, alongside some of the most caring and talented people in Bury St Edmunds.
