We are looking for an experienced Front of House Supervisor to join our team at Days Cafe, in our Parliament Street cafe.

We are a busy, independent licensed cafe based in the heart of York specialising in fresh, homemade food and fresh locally baked cakes. We have two cafes, operating as a close-knit team across the two city centre sites.

We have a vision and a goal to establish our cafes as market leaders and we are looking for the right person with ideas and initiative to come and help us achieve this.

We are looking for a hands-on, dedicated and passionate FOH Supervisor to work alongside the Manager to run the day-to-day operations and responsibilities of the cafe and create a positive environment for both colleagues and customers.

Role & Responsibilities: We are looking for someone with great people and leadership skills. Someone who will set a high-standard of service, hygiene, cleanliness and full compliance. You will be visible and actively support the team with initiative and quick-thinking skills in order to solve any problems that may arise. We are looking for someone to inspire and help manage a motivated team and always lead by example. You will contribute to maintaining the positive working environment and happiness of all staff.

The ongoing training of all front of house staff is compulsory to the ongoing growth and development of the company and it will be our FOH Supervisor who assists the Manager to ensure appropriate staff training is carried out. It is imperative that the FOH Supervisor is fully competent and adheres to all licensing, food, fire safety and health legislations daily. Stock management is a crucial part of the role to ensure stock levels are maintained, stock rotation and date labelling is monitored and adhered to daily.

Applicants must have proven leadership and team management skills in a restaurant or hospitality setting and have the ability to maintain a positive work environment and uphold service standards.If this sounds like the perfect fit for you, we would love to hear from you
