At The Lodge Trust, we provide support for adults with learning disabilities — helping each person develop their skills, confidence, and independence.
We're looking for a friendly, adaptable, and experienced Horticulture Coordinator to lead our horticulture programme and help our residents grow — in every sense of the word.
What You'll Do
As part of our Creative Enterprise team, you'll:
- Lead and inspire a small team of people with learning disabilities in horticultural work
- Manage the seasonal work of our gardens, greenhouses, and polytunnels
- Grow and produce high-quality plants and produce for sale
- Oversee maintenance of our beautiful grounds at The Lodge Trust
- Manage budgets, supplies, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards
- Support residents in learning horticultural skills and participating in wider activities and events
This is a hands-on, rewarding role where every day brings variety — from planting seeds and nurturing plants to supporting our residents as they blossom in confidence.
About You
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- At least 2 years' professional experience in horticulture
- Leadership experience and a passion for supporting people with learning disabilities
- A good understanding of Health & Safety in a practical work environment
- A Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it)
- A full UK driving licence
Bonus points if you hold horticultural, teaching, or first aid qualifications
