Mecc Alte UK manufacture a wide range of industrial alternators from it's plant in Oakham, working closely with its parent company based in Italy) and its customers to ensure top quality products are delivered throughout the product lifecycle.

We have an opportunity for an experienced Despatch Warehouse Supervisor who must have experience of warehouse operations within an engineering manufacturing facility. Must also have SAP warehouse management system experience.

You will take responsibility for assisting the business achieve its warehousing, order fulfilment and despatch objectives.

Key Accountabilities/Role & Main Responsibilities

  • Specialise in despatch related activity ensuring timely despatch of finished goods
  • Full 100% transaction of despatch process within SAP WMS system.
  • Coordinate Despatch team warehouse operatives/forklift operations
  • Working closely with Logistics Coordinator to ensure all finished goods are shipped out in accordance with schedule, on time and to quality control standards.
  • Support in communicating material control strategies with Factory Line Leaders
  • Ensure good communication with Supply Chain, Finance, Sales and Production teams
  • Support in identifying ever improving best-practice supply chain outcomes, to enable efficient service delivery to customers
  • Support as a working member of the team where workloads dictate
  • Work with cycle counter to ensure material number / sales order / serial number / WMS bin alignment
  • Development robust operational processes that support consistent success.

The above list of duties are not exhaustive, therefore you may be asked to perform other reasonable duties, as and when required, to ensure sufficient running of the warehouse.

Skills and Ability

· At least 2 years of professional work experience in warehousing/logistics.

· Counterbalance and Reach Truck trained – valid certificate required

SAP WMS knowledge

· Fluent English language

· Microsoft IT skills Word, Excel

· Good Leadership and supervision skills.

· Effective time management and delegation skills.

· Confident and assertive with a self-motivated approach and flexible attitude.

· Ability to cope with pressure and work to tight deadlines.
