Are you passionate about working with children and looking for a rewarding, part-time role in a friendly, supportive environment? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Before and After School Assistant to join our team at Beeches Park Day Nursery and help provide a safe, engaging, and positive space for children at the start and end of their school day.

We drop off and collect children from a local primary school in our electric mini-bus and bring them back to our nursery setting in Stretton. (A driving lisence is preferable for this role but not essential) - daily hours are 7.30-9am and 2.30-6pm.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting the delivery of fun, age-appropriate activities including games, arts and crafts, outdoor play, and more.
  • Supervising children to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times.
  • Helping with light snacks and refreshments.
  • Building strong, respectful relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensuring all activities follow safeguarding, health and safety, and inclusion policies.

What We're Looking For

  • A genuine interest in working with children aged 4–11.
  • Experience in a childcare, school, or playwork setting (preferred but not essential).
  • A caring, reliable, and energetic personality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A current Paediatric First Aid certificate or willingness to complete training.
  • An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
