Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our family-run care home. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance and care to individuals in need, promoting their independence and enhancing their quality of life. This position requires a proactive approach to support, ensuring that the needs and preferences of those we assist are always prioritised.

Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals, including assistance with daily living activities such as feeding, making teas and coffees, etc .
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and aspirations through tailored care plans.
  • Promote a safe and comfortable environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a support or care role is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to empathise with residents' needs.
  • A genuine passion for helping others and enhancing their well-being.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for community-based roles.
  • Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check will be required prior to employment.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 9am - 2pm -(25 hours per week).
