Dean Banks at The Pompadour is an award-winning fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Edinburgh. We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team.

As a Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests have an outstanding dining experience. You will oversee daily operations, lead and inspire our team, and uphold our high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the food and beverage team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Maintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of service standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism and tact.
  • Oversee inventory management and ordering of supplies.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service.
  • Assist in scheduling and staff management to ensure adequate coverage.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and implementing improvement plans as needed.
  • Support in planning and executing special events and private functions.
  • Ensure compliance with licensing, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the food and beverage industry, preferably in fine dining.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering top-notch service.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • A genuine passion for food, wine, and exceptional service.
