Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing personalised support to children, ensuring their well-being and development in a safe and nurturing environment. This position offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives while developing valuable skills within a supportive organisation. The role involves working closely with families, care plans, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver tailored assistance that meets individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist children with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and recreational pursuits.
- Support children in participating in educational and social activities, fostering independence and confidence.
- Implement and follow personalised care plans developed in collaboration with families and professionals.
- Maintain clear communication with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure consistent support.
- Drive children to appointments, activities, or outings as required, ensuring safety at all times.
- Use IT systems to document progress, update care plans, and record relevant observations accurately.
- Promote a positive environment that encourages development, inclusion, and emotional well-being.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Valid driving licence with the ability to drive children safely to various locations.
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with children, families, and team members.
- Knowledge of child development principles and the ability to adapt support accordingly.
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and updating care documentation.
