Duties

  • Cook a variety of meals, ensuring consistency and quality in presentation and taste
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
  • Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment
  • Support the team during busy periods by efficiently managing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ensure all food is stored correctly, labelled, and rotated appropriately
  • Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying supervisors of shortages

Skills

  • Previous experience in food preparation or cooking is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Flexibility to adapt to various roles within the kitchen as needed
  • Basic understanding of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
