Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Supervisor to lead our culinary team in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. This role involves supervising kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.

Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food preparation and cooking meets quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on food safety practices and culinary techniques.
  • Coordinate food production schedules to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of meals, utilising culinary skills to support the team as needed.
  • Conduct regular training sessions for staff on food handling, cooking methods, and customer service excellence.
  • Collaborate with management to develop menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Handle inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and culinary arts.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Previous experience in kitchen operations or barista roles is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
