NY Highways is looking for a Highways Operative with LGV to join our Thirsk-based team. Whether you're already in a similar role or looking for a change, this is your chance to be part of a close-knit crew delivering essential improvements across your local area.

What you'll be doing

As a Highways Operative with LGV, you'll work closely with a Ganger to carry out a variety of skilled tasks, including:

• Kerbing, drainage installation, patching, ironwork renewal, and street furniture installation
• General site maintenance, traffic management, and roadside verge upkeep
• Operating specialist highways plant and equipment
• Driving and operating vehicles over 7.5 tonnes, including conducting safety checks

This role includes participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota for emergencies and winter maintenance. A Class 2 Driver's Licence (Category C) is essential, and access to personal transport is desirable.

This is a physically active role requiring outdoor work in all weather conditions. Full PPE, including outdoor clothing, will be provided.
