Location: Seamer Carr, North Yorkshire

Salary: Starting from £42,412 per year (Grade 8)

Contract: Permanent | Full Time (40 hours/week)

Are you ready to lead essential highway operations that keep our communities connected and safe? At NY Highways, we're looking for a proactive and experienced Highways Supervisor to join our Seamer Carr team – a group proud to serve the largest county in the UK.

What you'll be doing:

You will lead and coordinate a wide range of reactive maintenance activities, including:

• Pothole and patch repairs
• Drainage and sinkhole investigations
• Signage, fencing, and lining
• Emergency response and winter maintenance
• Traffic management and safety planning

You'll manage a team of operatives and subcontractors, ensuring high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You'll also work closely with the Senior Supervisor to plan resources, monitor budgets, and mentor your team.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience in highways or construction (Ganger level or above)
• Knowledge of traffic management (TM1, TM2, T7)
• Understanding of health & safety and quality assurance
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Willingness to undertake further training (e.g. Winter 6159 Supervisor Unit 621)
