We have an exciting opening for a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Manager to oversee the day to day operation of the Garden Centre Restaurant.

You will be responsible for both front of house and kitchen; ensuring the consistent delivery of outstanding service and food quality while maintaining compliance with Environmental Health Officer (EHO) regulations.

This role would ideally suit someone who enjoys working in the hospitality industry but no longer wants to work evening shifts.

The main duties of this position include:

  • scheduling and supervision of kitchen and front of house staff
  • working with suppliers and managing the quality of the food
  • assisting the head chef with ideas for new dishes and seasonal menus
  • budgeting and working to achieve KPI's
  • ensuring that all health & hygiene regulations are followed to maintain our 5 star rating
  • ensuring that the restaurant is maintained in a clean and tidy manner
  • working with the front of house team to ensure that a friendly and efficient service continues to be delivered to every customer.
  • assisting the Directors to develop the business by providing ideas and support to implement new ideas.

This is not an exhaustive list as the nature of the work requires that you be flexible in the duties that you carry out. The ideal candidate would have the following qualities:

  • Able to delegate to and interact with with staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
