Our Warrington-based client, leaders in their field and pioneers of their industry are seeking a Senior Financial Controller.

They continue to enjoy an impressive growth trajectory and have recently been acquired by a larger group. As such, this is a newly created Senior Financial Controller role reporting directly to the Finance Director, and has the potential to take strategic responsibility and in time become FD.

Over seeing a small team of transactional finance staff, deliverables include:

  • Managing the finance team on a day-to-day basis, providing hands-on leadership to ensure all departmental duties are carried out to the required standards
  • Having oversight of all transactional activity (including sub-ledgers), production of monthly accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, company management accounting pack
  • Working with auditors to ensure accounts are signed off in accordance with all relevant legislation
  • Providing sound and timely financial information to stakeholders across the company and wider group
  • Managing cash flow forecasting Managing the company's software and ensuring it provides the necessary provision of financial information across the business
  • Overseeing the credit control and billing function

The Ideal Person

  • Be qualified or be qualified by a significant amount of experience
  • Have experience of complicated invoice structures and experience of liaising directly with clients in relation to their queries
