Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the Project Management & Construction department, providing cost and financial advice throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Evaluate and manage project risks related to cost, procurement, and legal issues.
  • Monitor project costs and track variations from budgets or plans.
  • Assess and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotes and contracts.
  • Provide financial progress reports, forecasts, and final account statements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, value engineering, and cost control measures.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, engineers, and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations, contractual obligations, and industry standards.
  • Utilize digital tools (e.g., BIM, estimating software, Excel) to streamline workflows.
  • Attend virtual meetings and site inspections if required.

  • Strong organisational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (ideally including remote or hybrid working).
  • Strong knowledge of construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
  • Proficient in estimating and project management software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Excel).
  • Reliable internet connection and home office setup.

Desirable:

  • Chartered status (MRICS or working toward it).
  • Experience with international or multi-site projects.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction and life cycle costing.
