Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Security Supervisor to oversee our security operations and ensure a safe environment for all personnel and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. This role involves managing a team of security personnel, utilising surveillance technology, and implementing loss prevention strategies.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the security team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect and respond to suspicious activities or breaches of security.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks and implement appropriate measures.
  • Develop and enforce loss prevention strategies to minimise theft and damage to property.
  • Provide training and guidance to security staff on best practices in surveillance, emergency response, and first aid procedures.
  • Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, ensuring that appropriate protocols are followed.
  • Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, investigations, and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the security industry.
  • Strong knowledge of surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and strategies.
  • Certification in first aid is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead a team effectively.
  • Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week
