**Transport Supervisor**

**BOND INTERNATIONAL - Bracknell**

We are a major distributor of tyres in the UK, with depots around the country. Our brand new depot in Biggleswade is due to open shortly, and we are looking for a Transport Supervisor.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work in a modern warehouse

You will work in a team. **Duties** will include:
Key Responsibilities and Duties:

- Check all drivers’ paperwork
- Ensure routes are allocated correctly and ensure all vehicles leave the depot on schedule
- Liaise with agencies
- Be compliant with all paperwork
- Oversee vehicle defects, ensuring reporting documents are completed by drivers daily. Organise appropriate repairs; any small defects should be dealt with via onsite maintenance, if larger defects occur, you must register the vehicle off road (VOR) and inform your Line Manager immediately
- Look at Transend - check vehicle routes and locations making sure no delays or issues, if there is liaise with sales and management
- Check ETA’s on returning vans
- Liaise with sales on wrong loads and shortages and reschedule any we can get out same day delivery
- Dealing with customer collections; ensuring you print Invoices, liaise with customer, organise with warehouse staff to get tyres up to transport office and get customer to sign POD, take payment for tyres if COD
- Scanning on Dart of POD’s, invoices etc
- Complete the cash sheet ensuring cash is counted, balanced and banking is complete when required
- Processing returning drivers; complete paperwork, debrief, cash handling (counting monies, ensuring full amount is present and matches paperwork or report any missing monies to Line Manager) and complete credits at point of return
- Ensure sales promotions are ready for next day vans
- Print all drivers’ paperwork for next day runs
- Check and clear staff anomalies on itime, input correct hours/absences
- Oversee drivers’ holidays; authorise/decline holiday requests, enter on itime and calendars whilst ensuring adequate cover is arranged
- General HR Administration tasks, including but not limited to: compiling all paperwork for new starters (prior to starting), leavers (prior to leaving), staff requests, return to work interviews, absence management, investigations, disciplinaries, accidents/incidents recording and sending to HR at Head Office
- Liaise with drivers on any operational issues; where possible, avoid failed drops due to delays by liaising with all drivers to see if anyone can help
- Update diary
- Ensure all vehicles meet with legislation requirement
- Inform Warehouse Supervisor of any late returning drivers
- Lock and secure the Depot premises including the gate and reception doors
- Any other reasonable duties requested by management

**Hours and Pay**

Days and times to be discussed at interview.
Pay range from £25,000.00 - £28,000.00

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,000.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Transport Supervisor: 1 year (preferred)
- Routing: 1 year (preferred)

Work authorisation:

- United Kingdom (preferred)
