We require a Solar PV & Renewables Project Manager to assist with the delivery of domestic projects. The position requires working from both our Warrington office, as well as on site in various locations throughout England. The role will be to manage and deliver a variety of domestic Solar PV and other Renewable works on our Social housing contracts. These contracts are in the North West as well as various locations throughout England including the North East, the Midlands and the South East.

Main roles & responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the project management of a number of Solar PV & other Renewable projects in various locations; reporting in to our Operations Manager.
  • Liaise with and organise supervisors and operatives.
  • Manage and control all areas of material stock control, quality, procurement, operational delivery, and to also have a level of commercial awareness to ensure that sales and profit targets are met.
  • Check all paperwork including certificates and invoices.
  • Liaise with clients and attend all relevant meetings.
  • Check and insist that all Health & Safety requirements are carried out and operatives are issued and adhere to all risk assessments and method statements; and required P.P.E is worn on site.
  • Allocate work and ensure completion in accordance with the designated schedule.
  • Problem-solve when issues arise on site.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Time-served electrician (5 years qualified).
  • 2 years' minimum Project Manager experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years Solar PV installation experience.
  • SMSTS (preferred).
  • Comprehensive understanding of electrical installations, testing & inspection.
  • City & Guilds 2391 inspection and testing (preferred).
  • 18th Edition (preferred).
  • Excellent attention to detail, accurate and methodical in work to overcome challenges and see projects through to completion.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise well when managing multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to build good relationships and rapport with clients.
