If you want to play a part in shaping the future of our business, bringing new ideas and challenge then now is a great time to join us.About the Role

Level: 4

Department: Distribution - Professional Services

Contract: Permanent

Location: London - Hybrid

Join our growing Professional Services team to work alongside our Business Development Managers, Financial Planners and Investment Managers to support the promotion of Quilter Cheviot's services to the solicitors and accountants that refer their clients to us.

It's an exciting time to join the team: we've recently completed a program of proposition development to ensure our services resonate with the clients that need them, we're getting an increasing number of requests for proposals and we're winning pitches.  We need the support of a Practice Manager to help us expand our reach, identify and engage with new opportunities and also ensure we are fully capitalising on our existing opportunities.

This newly established role is crucial for creating and generating new opportunities to embed our proposition into the work intermediaries do, creating a "Partnership Model" that adds value to the intermediary firm and directly supports new business growth.  This could include working alongside our colleagues not just in the Professional Services team but also our External Adviser BDM team and our Technical and Marketing teams.

The ideal candidate should have good knowledge of the services financial advisers provide and the wealth management sector generally.  They will also have at least a level 4 industry qualification and demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit to explore and develop new opportunities in this national role.

Our goal is to help current and future generations succeed by offering the right financial advice and investment solutions for secure financial futures. In these uncertain times, our expertise and dedication are crucial. Our talents differentiate us, but our commitment to customers defines us.

Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development – Professional Services, you will collaborate with the Business Development Managers, Financial Planners and Investment Managers to embed our proposition into the work of key intermediaries (solicitors and accountants) across the UK. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Being intermediary facing, with a combination of targeted face to face and remote interactions (including meetings, virtual meetings and webinars) as well as working across different teams within Quilter Cheviot

  • Work alongside the BDM team, Financial Planners and Investment Managers to support relationships with key intermediary firms across the UK

  • Develop a thorough understanding of Quilter Cheviot's products and services and the circumstances in which they may be appropriate for existing and potential clients

  • Develop a thorough understanding of key intermediary services and identify and develop opportunities to reciprocate referrals where appropriate

  • Provide training on the above points to solicitors, accountants and internal stakeholders

  • Identify, develop and coordinate opportunities to introduce Quilter Cheviot's technical support across the key intermediaries we work with

  • Whilst collaborating with teams across Quilter Cheviot, develop a "panel" of intermediary opportunities, which you will be responsible for servicing

  • Liaise with intermediaries and internal stakeholders to support the onboarding of new clients

  • To collate information about target intermediaries from various sources available to Quilter Cheviot

  • Gather and present feedback about our services, identifying gaps and ensuring we remain competitive

  • Updating the CRM system

  • Keep management and the team appraised of sales opportunities, activity and sales pipeline

  • Attending team meetings and providing a summary of any action points

  • Whilst we anticipate this role will be primarily office based/remote, some travel will occasionally be required

Consumer Duty:

Even though this role doesn't directly interact with the end customers, you need to understand our target market and evaluate the value of each service for financial advisers to ensure positive customer outcomes.

About You

We are seeking a seasoned Relationship Manager/ Account Manager /Practice Manager with experience working with lawyers and accountants. The position demands that the candidate independently manage their workload, therefore, strong self-organization skills and a sense of personal responsibility are crucial. The role involves close collaboration with our financial planning, investment management and marketing teams, and the wider intermediary sales team across all Quilter Cheviot's office offices, so you will need to be a confident communicator.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • At least an industry Level 4 qualification

  • Relevant experience in financial services

  • Relevant experience working with solicitors and accountants

  • A clean driving license
