SOC Analyst – Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP)

We're partnering with a well-established Managed Security Service Provider that has been protecting organisations worldwide since 2004. Originally founded as a SIEM specialist, the business evolved into managed security services over a decade ago to meet growing client demand. Due to continued growth, they are looking for both
Graduate and Experienced L1 SOC Analysts
to join their 24/7 Security Operations Centre.

The Role

As an L1 SOC Analyst, you'll be responsible for monitoring, triaging, and responding to security events across a diverse client base. You'll work hands-on with industry-leading tools and collaborate closely with a supportive SOC team.

Technologies include:

  • Elastic
  • Microsoft Sentinel
  • Microsoft Defender
  • Splunk (occasional use)

Clearance requirement:

You must hold, or be eligible to obtain,
SC
and
NPPV3
clearance.

Shift Pattern

This is a
24/7 SOC environment
operating on 12-hour shifts:

  • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Days)
  • 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Nights)

Flexibility:

  • Some weeks are 3 shifts, others are 4
  • Day shifts outside UK business hours can be worked from home
  • All night shifts are fully remote

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyse security alerts using SIEM platforms
  • Investigate and respond to security incidents
  • Escalate threats and collaborate with senior analysts
  • Produce clear, detailed reports on incidents and trends
  • Support continuous improvement of SOC processes and playbooks

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • 1–2 years' experience in a SOC or relevant IT infrastructure role
    OR
    a
    First-Class or 2:1 degree
    in a relevant discipline
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory, Intune, and core IT infrastructure

Desirable:

  • Experience with Elastic, Sentinel, Defender, and/or Splunk

Salary & Package


£24,000 – £26,000 base salary


15% annual bonus
