Twenty4Seven Education is seeking enthusiastic and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of Special Educational Needs (SEND) schools in the North East.

This is a fantastic opportunity for confident individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a difference in the lives of young people with additional needs. You'll be working alongside supportive staff to ensure that lessons continue smoothly in the absence of the class teacher, while providing guidance, encouragement, and structure for pupils with diverse learning needs.

Your Role

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes when teachers are absent
  • Support pupils with a range of needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning difficulties.
  • Encourage engagement, independence, and positive behaviour in the classroom.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and SEND staff to ensure consistent support.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all learners.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience working in an educational setting (school, college, or youth work).
  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Confidence to deliver pre-set lessons and maintain high expectations of behaviour.
  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive approach.
  • Degree or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.

Additional training in Autism Awareness, Team Teach, or SEMH support would be advantageous.
