Job Description:

About Us

The Sober School is a UK based coaching company that exists to empower women to live an alcohol-free life they love. Our approach is supportive, and transformation-focused. We're scaling our impact, and now need someone who can own the operational backbone so our founder can focus on the big picture.

The Role

You'll be the right-hand to the founder, overseeing team operations, managing key tech systems, and driving launch and funnel strategy. You're comfortable in the trenches yet strategic enough to build or refine processes. You love systems, you hate chaos, and you take pleasure in turning sticky workflows into smooth paths.

Key Responsibilities

Team & Operations

  • Supervise the VA team: manage task lists (which shift month to month), approve weekly "Monday" email content before send-out.
  • Create and manage the rota for the team to ensure coaching coverage for clients and community
  • Handle leave requests; ensure coverage when the founder is away (including running the Monday 9:30 am team meeting).
  • Troubleshoot payment/admin process issues and be the go-to for tech questions from the admin team (so the founder isn't pulled in every time).
  • Act as the tech point-person for Slack team communication and general systems support.

Funnels & Tech Systems

  • Build and manage automated funnels: set up responders in ManyChat, tag and sequence workflows for new opt-ins, manage/tag workflows in Kit.
  • If needed, build new opt-in pages (copy will be provided) and connect them into our ecosystem.
  • Ensure tech integrations are working smoothly (triggering correct tags, syncing the right tools, etc.).
  • Track funnel health: weekly metrics, opt-in performance, tagging accuracy, conversion rates.

Launches & Program Delivery

  • Co-own the launch process: build a timeline/plan for each launch (could be in Asana or another project tool), guide the founder through deadlines, gate-checks, and action items.
  • Verify all sales pages: dates, functionality, typos, integration links.
  • Manage course areas in Mighty Networks: create spaces, set up new course zones, update lesson sequences.
  • During launch windows: monitor sales, ensure cart closes correctly, tag appropriately in Kit, support the Club launches end-to-end.

SOPs & Process Improvement

  • Create, update and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for tech stacks, team workflows and launch sequences.
  • Identify gaps or breakdowns in current systems and present improvement opportunities.

  • Comfortable with tech stacks (ManyChat, Kit, Asana, Mighty Networks or similar).

  • Strong communication skills: you'll be managing people, queuing questions to the founder, and keeping the team on deadline.
  • Proactive mindset: you don't wait for the founder to tell you every step — you anticipate needs, flag problems early, and take ownership.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have 1+ years of prior experience working remotely for an online business
  • Must be able to adapt to competing demands in a dynamic online business environment
  • Must be a highly resourceful team-player with the ability to also be extremely effective independently
  • Must possess strong time management and prioritization, adept at handling conflicting priorities.
  • Must honor our mission and client's efforts to live an alcohol-free lifestyle

TECH WE USE

**Proficiency in these applications is highly preferred and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tech is required.

SCHEDULE

  • Monday through Friday 9am to 1pm GMT
  • Weekly schedule would be approximately 20 hours per week, dependent on current workload and promotional cycle.

COMPENSATION & LOCATION

  • £28-30 per hour
  • Position will be Hybrid; 90% of duties will be performed remotely and 10% will include occasional event support. This role requires residency in the UK.
