Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Care Workers with a DRIVER's LICENCE to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance within their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the best possible care in a comfortable and familiar environment. This role is vital in delivering personalised care tailored to each individual's unique needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
- Support clients with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, and behaviour management strategies.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document care provided and report any concerns or changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed, ensuring their safety during transport.
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in caregiving or related fields such as:
- Assisted living facilities or nursing homes.
- Senior care, hospice care, or home care settings.
- Experience with first aid and medication administration is highly desirable.
- A background in childcare may be beneficial for working with families requiring support for both children and elderly relatives. We welcome applicants who are passionate about providing high-quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of those they serve.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From £19,981.53 per year
Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
