Key Responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Director to lead the brand marketing strategy for ERDEM. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in bringing Erdem's voice and vision to life, shaping our global storytelling, overseeing brand campaigns, and ensuring alignment across all consumer touchpoints. This is a highly collaborative role ensuring working with the right creative community and across ecommerce, retail, PR, creative and wholesale functions to support the brand's growth trajectory.
Position Summary:
As the Marketing & Communications Director, you will be the brand guardian responsible for shaping and executing an integrated global marketing strategy. You'll oversee brand positioning, campaign development, digital marketing, public relations, partnerships, and customer communications. This role requires a balance of creativity, strategic thinking decision-making to maintain the elevation the brand and drive sales in a competitive luxury market.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Positioning
- Define and articulate the brand's voice, vision, and narrative across all platforms.
- Develop and lead annual and seasonal marketing plans aligned with business goals, product and brand ethos.
- Maintain consistent brand messaging across owned, earned, and paid channels.
Marketing Campaigns
- Concept, develop, and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns (print, digital, influencer, social, events).
- Collaborate with design and merchandising teams to align marketing initiatives with product launches and key moments.
- Collaborate and manage creative teams, agencies, and freelancers to bring campaigns to life.
Public Relations & Communications
- Lead global PR strategy and relationships with luxury and fashion media.
- Oversee the development of press releases, media kits, and brand storytelling materials.
- Secure high-impact media placements, celebrity/influencer partnerships, and brand collaborations.
Digital Marketing & Social Media
- Develop and oversee digital growth strategies including SEO, SEM, paid social, and email marketing.
- Lead social content strategy for social media, aligning with seasonal brand messaging and customer engagement goals. Objective setting, platform priorities, adaption of the brand narrative and voice by platform, content themes, posting and cadence.
- Social content creation. Monthly content calendar leveraging existing assets and managing external resources to produce new original assets as needed
- Monitor KPIs, analytics, and ROI to optimize campaigns and improve performance.
Events & Partnerships
- Oversee brand events including fashion shows, pop-ups, retail activations, and exclusive client gatherings.
- Build and nurture strategic partnerships that enhance brand equity and reach new audiences.
Team Leadership & Budget Management
- Lead and mentor the marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Manage departmental budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and strong ROI.
- Devise and lead ERDEM's global brand marketing strategy, ensuring a clear and consistent message across all channels.
- Plan and execute seasonal brand campaigns and key cultural moments, driving brand visibility and engagement globally.
- Champion the ERDEM brand narrative, working closely with internal creative, content, and PR teams to ensure alignment across owned and earned media.
- Oversee the day-to-day execution of digital performance marketing through management of the Performance Marketing Manager, covering Paid Search, Paid Social, Email and Affiliate channels.
- Provide strategic direction on media planning and performance marketing optimisation, working with in-house teams and external agencies to maximise ROI.
- Partner closely with the Ecommerce Director to align brand and performance marketing objectives, ensuring cohesive customer journeys and optimised channel performance.
- Collaborate with the in-house creative team to brief and review assets across brand and commercial campaigns, ensuring relevance across platforms and formats.
- Lead the development of a global CRM strategy to enhance customer retention and lifetime value, using segmentation, automation, and personalised communications.
- Partner with the retail and wholesale teams to support regional activations and in-store marketing initiatives.
- Lead the Marketing calendar, aligning global launches, campaigns, and product priorities across all departments.
- Track, analyse, and report on marketing KPIs, providing actionable insights to improve performance and guide strategic decisions.
- Manage relationships with external marketing, creative, and media partners.
- Represent the marketing function at cross-functional and leadership meetings, ensuring alignment with broader company goals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field.
• 8+ years of marketing experience, ideally within a luxury or premium fashion environment, with a strong track record in building brand equity and leading integrated campaigns.
• Proven experience in managing a performance marketing function across Paid Search, Paid Social, Email and Affiliates.
• Strong understanding of CRM strategy and tools, with experience in segmentation, automation, and customer journey mapping.
