Hours: 37.5 per week (M-F 9am to 5pm)

Salary Banding: £28,000 - £31,000 per annum

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Childcare Tutor Assessor to join our team in Belfast.

As a Childcare Tutor you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of early childhood education professionals. Your role involves inspiring and guiding students in the principles and practices of childcare, covering essential areas such as child development, curriculum design, and effective teaching strategies.

Developing comprehensive lesson plans, you will share practical insights and real-world examples, preparing students for success in diverse childcare settings. Fostering a nurturing and supportive learning environment, your duties extend beyond traditional teaching to encourage creativity and instill a genuine love for learning in future childcare professionals.

The successful candidate will deliver up to Level 3 Diploma in Childcare, Learning, and Development. The qualification has been designed to confer occupational competence for learners working in an early years setting. The qualification allows learners to gain and apply in-depth knowledge and understanding about child development. You will be delivering to students studying on government-funded training programmes Skills for Life and Work (School Leavers) and ApprenticeshipsNI; as well as private students.

The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for the Childcare Industry; and possess the motivation and commitment to see our students succeed on their programme of study. Ideally, they will have good mentoring skills and sound knowledge of working with awarding bodies and delivering qualifications.

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Minimum Level 2/GCSE English and Maths qualifications
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare discipline
  • 2+ years' experience working in the Childcare Industry
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Full clean driving licence and access to transport
  • Achievement of A1 Assessors Award (Desirable)
  • Teaching Qualification - Minimum Level 4 Certificate in Teaching (Desirable)
