OVERVIEW: Who we need
The Schools product manager, within the Verification tribe, is responsible for defining the strategy and building the tools that enable sourcing and maintaining school data. The schools database is a treasured asset which underpins UNiDAYS's student verification on a global scale and its expansion into new regions. At UNiDAYS we use technology to solve complex problems, and you'll have the opportunity to innovate and experiment at scale.

Job Requirements
- 4 years experience as a Data Product Manager or Product Manager in a data rich context.
- Demonstrable, first hand experience with data partnerships and API products,
- Ability to define success metrics, identify what data is needed and derive insights.
- Experience in defining/designing processes and workflows.
- Proven understanding of commercial implications of product/technology decisions.
- Experience working with back-office applications - nice to have.
- Experience in a B2B focused startup/SME - nice to have.
- Exposure/familiarity with the education classification system (e.g. ISCED) and/or LMS platforms - nice to have.
Job Responsibilities
- Global Acquisition Strategy: Define, execute, and own the global data acquisition roadmap, strategically leveraging a mix of direct partnerships, ethical scraping, and vendor relationships to achieve maximum geographical and institutional coverage.
- Crowdsourcing & UX: Develop crowdsourcing product initiatives, treating data contributors as primary users, and designing the incentives, tooling, and validation workflows to rapidly ingest and cleanse high-volume user-generated data.
- Data Quality & Governance: Establish the standards for data quality and fitness-for-use across all data sources, defining the taxonomy, validation rules, and observability requirements to ensure the database can support high-volume, reliable user-facing products.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner effectively with Biz dev, Product, Engineering, and Data Insight teams to ensure alignment, gather requirements, and drive successful product launches and iterations.
- Industry knowledge: Proactively identify emerging trends in the education space and devise concrete action plans to exploit any opportunities that may arise.
- Product Management: Manage and prioritise the product backlog, align with other product managers in the Verification, Identity and Partners tribes on roadmaps and dependencies, and drive execution with a dedicated team of engineers.

- Evaluate and measure your own performance and seek feedback for continuous improvement. You also commit to regular check-ins and monthly 1:1's with your line manager and to be proactive in completing your quarterly, Mid-Year and End of Year reviews to ensure your manager has enough time to complete before the deadline.
