The Role
We are looking for two dynamic individuals with a history of teaching young people with SEND. Our Pathways for Progression department is our specialist SEND provision, where students are working towards developing their social communication, as well as undertaking qualifications in Employability/ Independent Living Skills. We are looking for individuals that are confidently able to teach Entry Level English and maths, Independent Living Skills and a range of work skills for young people aged 16+.
You will need to have a clear understanding of Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties in young people and how to support them. You will also need a clear understanding of Adaptive Strategies for SEND learners, and the EHCP process. You will be able to communicate clearly with professionals, parents and carers, as well as use a multitude of communication strategies to support students with communication difficulties.
The delivery days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. Lessons are delivered over 34 weeks per year and the contract will be held over 52 weeks per year.

- Decision making - You will be able to make appropriate decisions in a time sensitive situation.
- Learning - You will be able to reflect on and learn from your experiences, and continue to develop and shape your practice.
